Recognizing the Value Added Comparative Advantages State and Private Education in Khorasan Region and Comparative Analysis with other Provinces of the Country

Abstract

Rapid economic growth and competition ability are the most important themes of the Fourth Development Plan, without promotion and development of human capital and increasing labor productivity is not achieved and in this regard, education an important role is playing. This paper investigated the value Added Comparative Advantages State and Private Education in Khorasan Region (including three Khorasan Razavi, North and South) and comparison with other provinces of the country. For this purpose, the share of value Added educational subdivisions in region gross domestic product (GDP) and compared with the country and revealed comparative advantage index calculated for the period 2000 to 20004, status education of Khorasan region in terms of comparative advantage was investigated and Khorasan position compared with other provinces of the country is also evaluated. The results indicate that in general the public sector Khorasan comparative advantage index had higher values of the private sector. This only in subdivision higher education been visible to other species and the amount of comparative advantage in private higher education is more public sectors in the years 2002-04. Other subdivisions in this period, all are having comparative advantage. Only subdivisions general secondary education and private secondary technical and professional in 2001-03 years as well as subdivisions private adult education period 2000-04 have no comparative.
