A pattern to evaluate the compatibility of integration theory in the philosophy of education: A case study on the philosophical integration in Iranian Act for the Fundamental Evolution of Education

Abstract

The main aim of the study is offered a pattern to evaluate the compatibility of integration theory in the philosophy of education. This aim is accessed comparative analysis of previous patterns and reconstruction of them based on assumed foundations. The results of the attempt led to a four stage pattern that main stages for evaluating of integration theory includes: "Reviewing the aim of integration in the philosophical theories of education, Reviewing the procedure of selection and integration with regard to the integration compatibility, Reviewing the "Approaches & Attitudes" to integration process, Integrating the results and determining the degree of compatibility in the integrated philosophy in education". Furthermore, the pattern used for evaluating of the compatibility of "philosophy of education in I. R. of Iran" in Iranian Act for the Fundamental Evolution of Education. The results of the evaluation indicate that the kind of integration was "reduction and vertical addition", and basis of the Paradigmic approach/ attitude in Iranian act, the compatibility of "philosophy of Education in I. R. of Iran" is facing serious challenges.
