Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and is committed to adhering to its principles.

Journal's code of ethics: The Journal of Foundations of Education has been designed based on the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and all participants are expected to adhere to the aforementioned ethical principles. Obviously, any plagiarism or other unethical behaviors will lead to the removal of the article from the arbitration process. This charter has been established to determine the duties and obligations of authors, editors, members of the editorial board and referees:

Publication and Authorship

  1. articles submitted by authors are evaluated confidentially and anonymously by peer reviewers selected by the editorial board and the editor-in-chief.
  2. The evaluation criteria for articles include originality, scientific quality, accuracy of data and information presented, and adherence to the scientific and literary framework of the journal.
  3. All articles are accepted, revised, or rejected based on the decisions of the reviewers and the editorial board.
  4. The revised version, based on the reviewers' comments, is sent to the final evaluator for a final decision based on their opinion.
  5. Rejected articles are archived in the journal's system for a maximum of three months and then removed from the system.
  6. Acceptance of an article is subject to the confirmation of requirements and the submission of an authors' commitment form, which includes accepting responsibility and granting permission for reproduction. Once accepted, the article is queued for publication and displayed online.
  7. Academic plagiarism is investigated by the research team at the university and its cross-referencing before acceptance.

 

Authors

  1. The authenticity certificate of the article is electronically submitted by the authors at the time of article submission. Additionally, confirmation is required that the submitted article has not been published in another journal or is under review for publication elsewhere.
  2. Revisions and suggested opinions by the review committee are sent to the journal's editor-in-chief within 15 days from the date of notification.
  3. Acknowledgment, gratitude, and institutional affiliation of the authors should be mentioned in the article, and any conflicts of interest between authors and organizations should be declared through the relevant form.
  4. The journal welcomes the reporting of errors and mistakes in published works that will definitely help improve the quality of the articles and the scientific status of the journal.

 

reviewers

  1. Confidentiality and secrecy of article information must be observed in all areas. The article review process is conducted confidentially and anonymously, while preserving the authenticity of the articles remains a priority.
  2. The review process should take place within a specified timeframe for the reviewers, and opinions regarding the authenticity of the article, regardless of recommendations for revision, rejection, or acceptance of the article, should be sent to the editor-in-chief.
  3. Reviewers' suggestions regarding published articles should be presented in the form of review forms and in the section pertaining to comments for the author and editor.
  4. Scientific misconduct, including overlap with other published articles, must be reported so that the editorial board can make a final decision regarding the rejection or acceptance of the article.
  5. Reviewers should abstain from reviewing articles in cases of conflicts of interest

 

Editorial board

  1. The editor-in-chief and the editorial board have full discretion to accept or reject any article, and the overall quality of published articles rests with them.
  2. The editor-in-chief is empowered to implement strategies to enhance the quality of the journal's articles.
  3. The academic background and credibility of the author must be evaluated before reviewing the article.
  4. The authenticity and quality of the article, accuracy of the presented content, and relevance to the publishing field should be the sole criteria for acceptance or rejection of articles.
  5. Final decisions should not be arbitrarily overturned without strong justification.
  6. Anonymity of the identities of reviewers and authors must be maintained until a decision regarding the article is made.
  7. Editors should find a solution for ethical issues and problems such as confrontation of authors regarding their published or unpublished articles.
  8. Rejecting articles based on suspicion alone is not possible.
  9. Conflicts of interest among members of the editorial board, authors, and reviewers must be appropriately addressed in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

 

Privacy Statement

  1. board. All rules defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) should be implemented by the editorial board members, referees, and authors.
  2. The article can be removed from the publication process only in the first stage (the chief editor's review process). When it is placed in the peer review process, the withdrawal from the publication process is subject to the payment of a fine to the editorial board.
  3. Any main change in the accepted article is possible only by providing acceptable justifications.
  4. All editorial board members and authors should make any corrections honestly and thoroughly.
  5. Publication ethics should be observed in the article. Plagiarism or presentation of fraudulent data will cause the authors to be considered as violators of the rules of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and their names will be blacklisted by this committee, whose decision is the responsibility of the editorial.
