This research applied a factor analysis statistical method to study the validity and reliability of ISI-6G identity Questionnaire. The questionnaire has a well internal consistency. Its validity was tented through a simultaneous implementation against goldbery Generl Health Questionnaire (G H Q – 28) among highschool students in Isfahan. Findings show That the Identity style Questionnaire has a high validity and thus it can be used as a useful instrument for evaluating idenlity formation from an information processing prespective. It is recommended that the psychoanalytic characteristics of this questionnaire be studied on other age groups and clinical as well as non-clinical populations. The paper also suggests that other personality variables be studied.
