چکیده
  Two questionnaires (1) Beck Depression Inventory and (2) Meaningfulness in Life (Searh for Meaning) were used to gather data from 908 sample students of the total number enroled in high schools in the academic year 1377-1378. The following results were obtained. 1. A negative relaltionship exixts between sense of meaningfulness in life and depression among high school students. This result is consistent with previous studies. 2.   Since the active participaption of the parents of mentally retarded children in early intervention programs leads to successful implenmentation of these programs, attention to parents' needs takes on substantial importance.
