The Journal of Foundations of Education, published biannually in electronic format, is administered by Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and operates as an open-access platform. The primary focus of this journal revolves around philosophical perspectives within the realm of education.

This journal serves as a forum where educational philosophers delve into contentious issues encompassing educational theory, policy, and practice. Contributions from various educational fields emphasizing theoretical and critical approaches to education are also encouraged.

Moreover, The Journal of Foundations of Education seeks to foster increased interaction among educational theorists, practitioners, and policymakers. It aims to disseminate contemporary trends in education and higher education, encompassing domains such as technology-mediated education, ecological and anti-ecological education, Glocal education, Geophilosophical Education, and similar themes, within academic circles and society at large.
